Creating conditional tags is useful when you want to customize messages based on data that can vary for each list entry.

Looking at the sample data screenshot above, in the recipient list ' Gender ' column, we see the entries can either be ' F ' for a female contact, or ' M ' for a male contact, or in some cases can be blank for neither male or female as in the name of a company or organization.

In this tutorial, we will attempt to explain how to create a dynamic tag that will generate a salutation for the contact based on the gender data of the entry. ( i.e. 'Mr', 'Ms.' or 'To whom it may concern' )
